Responsible for all of IMA’s global business development (including the Americas) and operations in IMA’s regional offices in the Middle East and India, Asia Pacific and Europe. This includes the marketing, communications, customer service, professional development, academic relations, relationship management and operations teams in all the locations outside of the US.
Manages all the business development teams globally including staff in Atlanta, Michigan, Wisconsin and Oregon as well as the sponsorship, advertising and affinity program team.
Responsible for sourcing, developing, nurturing and managing all IMA partnerships globally including government, association, third party (including Wiley Publishing), course provider, training company and corporate supporters of IMA.
Joined IMA staff as Director of International Development in October 2009. In May 2010 was promoted to Vice President International Development. Promoted to Senior Vice President in January, 2016. Prior to joining IMA staff, Jim provided international business development consulting services to IMA beginning in 2005.
Certified Association Executive; active in ASAE’s International working group and is a frequent speaker on global business development (for example, his development of a criteria-based market entry model).
Prior positions include managing director at Focused Management Inc., a global performance management consulting company, and finance manager at Volkswagen Canada Inc.
Graduate of the London School of Economics (MSc) and York University (BA)
